Hello!

My name is Sara Hamilton and I am the Speech Language Pathologist for students in Kindergarten - 5th grade. This is my first year teaching in Pelham City Schools and I am so excited to meet everyone and become a part of the wonderful Pelham family! I received my bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Auburn University in 2014 and I earned my master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Auburn University in 2016. Out of college, I was a Speech Language Pathologist in a nursing home and quickly switched to the school systems. I worked with Jefferson County Schools for four wonderful years at Fultondale Elementary School. My family and I live in Calera, so we were excited to get closer to home. I also have two nephews that attend Pelham City Schools, as well as a niece that will attend in the future.
In my more personal life, I have a husband that I started dating at Alabaster City Schools 12 years ago, and we have been married for 4 years now. His name is Austin and he is a firefighter for Hoover and Centerpoint. We have a beautiful and sassy two year old named Grace. In my free time, I love listening to music, listening to podcasts, drawing, sitting in front of the fireplace, laying in my hammock, reading and coloring.
I am so excited to begin a new school year with your kiddos!
