Hello My Name Is...
Mary Beth Mize

Hello, Friends!
I am one of Pelham Oaks' three inclusion teachers. I work with upper grades, and more specifically fourth and fifth graders. This school year will mark my seventh year teaching, and it will be my third year at POES. I have the best job in the world because I have the pleasure of helping students reach new goals each and every day. We never stop learning and having fun along the way!
Prior to becoming apart of the Pelham Oaks family, I worked in Mountain Brook for two years in the Special Education Department, and the first two years of my teaching career were spent in Flowery Branch, Georgia as a self-contained teacher. Finding creative ways to reach student needs is a passion of mine that grows stronger and stronger each and every day. Other passions of mine include watching the Clemson Tigers play football, baseball, and basketball. I also enjoy working on DIY projects around the house! Last but not least, I love spending time with my husband, Henry, two-year-old boxer by the name of Turner, and the rest of my family.
